celebrating PASSIONATE MUSIC... SURPRISING MUSIC... CHAMBER MUSIC!
In our concert series we present the best of the Bay Area's outstanding musicians, as well as top-notch touring artists, playing chamber music and recitals in the area's most elegant venues for this artform: the 300-seat Florence Gould Theater and the 900-seat Herbst Theatre.
We are proud of our 2008 season's offerings the level of musicianship is extraordinary, the repertoire is perfectly matched to the artists and each concert has something very special.
Our belief is that combining three key ingredients superb chamber music, a willing audience, and an intimate theater produces an exhilarating and memorable experience.
We are enthusiastic about presenting this kind of music, which is not only easy to understand but also, happily, embodies the most personal and heartfelt utterances of the great composers. Bonuses such as our engaging pre-concert talks and FREE museum entry only enrich the concert experience.

Daniel Levenstein
Director
Chamber Music San Francisco is dedicated to the presentation of chamber music concerts and recitals, presenting both fine musicians from the Bay Area and top quality touring artists. Beyond the presentation of excellent music, two goals will be observed:
We will strive to work within the existing rich "artistic ecosystem" in the Bay Area; Chamber Music San Francisco will respect the work that others are doing in the community. Further, we will make it our job to partner with other organizations to best serve, and to increase, the chamber music-loving public.
The organization is administratively lean; revenue from ticket sales and contributed support is spent on excellent programming and promotion, rather than administrative structure.
